What We Provide

The main role of an Occupational Therapist, is to work closely with the client to support them to engage in everyday ‘occupations’ which bring meaning to their life. This includes tasks relating to self-care, their role as a student or worker, and their hobbies and interests.

Therapy is individualised to meet the needs of the client where they are currently at, and support them to work towards meeting the goals they have set. By completing sessions in the client's natural environment, this supports them to be able to generalise the skills learned during therapy and implement them with support into their everyday routines and activities.

As well as face-to-face sessions, ABC Therapy is also able to complete sessions and consult with families via Telehealth.

The main role of a Physiotherapist is to work in a client-centred and community based setting with the client and their families to support them learn to successfully and independently perform gross motor skills and functional mobility skills.

Therapy is unique to every client and designed to be play based for children which helps to motivate them in physical activity and improve their functional mobility. As children start to successfully develop these skills, it creates a greater form of independence that helps contribute to achieving a higher sense of self esteem and achieving their goals.

Physiotherapy can provide sessions at home, at school, via Telehealth, at a local park, at a local pool (hydrotherapy) or at local gyms to suit the environment to best help achieve the child’s physical goals.

Positive behaviour support (PBS) practitioners play an important role in helping individuals lead fulfilling lives by promoting positive behaviours and reducing the frequency and intensity of challenging behaviours.

PBS practitioners usually undergo a behavioural assessment and interview to identify the purpose of challenging behaviours and factors that trigger them.

Through assessment, PBS practitioners develop individualised plans to educate alternative positive behaviours. They offer coaching, skill development and environmental modifications in order to implement the PBS plan effectively.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation is required to ensure the effectiveness of intervention which leads to positive outcomes.

Regional & Remote

Some of our therapists travel to regional and remote locations throughout Western Australia to conduct functional assessments and deliver comprehensive therapy services.

Our services can also be accessed via telehealth. Our therapists can conduct an appointment online or by video call instead of meeting in person.
